our community
Engaging in a career in the theatre and events industries Peter not only travelled around the country living in eight different towns and cities but also toured the world experiencing different places and cultures. However as time went on it became increasingly important to be a part of a community, to help play a part and try and make a difference in the community that we had made home.
Becoming foster carers for the local authority marked the end of working in far flung places and the task was to focus the companies activities locally. In doing so we discovered many amazing organisations, doing awesome things and in particular, working to reduce social isolation. Many of these through art related projects. We decided to immerse ourselves in Newcastle under Lyme and the wider Staffordshire area with the lease of what became King Street Studios and the formation of a Community Interest Community. This allowed us to support and give a voice to the organisations we support.
With a grade four Leukaemia diagnosis in 2019 the focus of activities became ‘leaving the Jersey in a better place’

PH connects more than wires with sound decks and lighting rigs, speakers to delegates, live events to the internet, podcasters with digital audio audiences. PH connects people. In our community work, we see the confidence of emerging musical talent grow. We see businesspeople sharing experiences and making great connections. We see those with autism coming together building blocks. We hear and share positive stories about the place we’re from, in person and online.
Peter Herbert advocates for the area, for local music and the performing arts enthusiastically offering his talent, connections and resources into our community brands. Russell Coppock is our tech wizard and loves the work we do, providing working experience to future event, sound and audio techies.
