Since 2016, Honey Box Live has been championing some of the most exciting new bands and musicians from across the UK. Each episode is filmed live in our custom-built studio at King Street Studios or on location at pop-up venues, where we transform the space into a one-night-only broadcast experience.
We work with local partners to build each line-up, keeping things fresh, diverse, and rooted in the communities we visit. From rock to soul, indie to experimental, we give artists a high-quality platform to perform, connect, and be seen.
Before going live, artists rehearse and soundcheck with our broadcast team, ensuring the best possible visuals and audio. We don’t just showcase artists — we support them behind the scenes too.
What Artists Receive
Each performer gets a professional promo package to support their music long after the broadcast, including:
- HD film footage of each song
- High-quality live audio recordings
- Professional photography from the show
- Social media content to share and promote
- Exposure to a growing national and international audience
It’s our way of helping artists grow, look great, and sound their best — both on screen and beyond.
We’re always looking for new bands, solo artists and genre-defiers ready to take the stage and be part of our next live series. If you’re making great music and want to perform in a filmed, live broadcast setting with full artist support, we’d love to hear from you.
Applications are now open. Use the button to tell us about yourself and share your music.
More than a show:
Honey Box Live is also home to a growing family of artist development and community projects:
The Honey Comb and Hive offer hands-on support for emerging musicians, creatives, and technicians looking to grow their networks and skills. The Hive hosts intimate performances, artist interviews, and community gatherings — creating space for connection, inspiration, and peer support. The Honey Comb focuses on practical workshops and behind-the-scenes learning, covering everything from live audio and event management to marketing, publishing, and production skills.
Together, these strands help nurture talent on and off the stage — giving people the tools, knowledge, and confidence to take their next step in music.
Amplifying Grassroots Talent is our newest strand, taking Honey Box Live on the road to new venues and regions. In partnership with King Street Studios, Blue Note Derby, 2Funky Arts and Wolverhampton Arts Centre, we’re creating more opportunities for live performance, touring connections, and hands-on development in communities across the Midlands.
Together, these projects reflect what Honey Box is really about — supporting grassroots music, giving artists space to grow, and building a more connected independent music scene.
